About our coating
LSS Formula | Transparent Series
LSS is a high-performance, plant-oil-based, waterborne, penetrating wood stain formulated specifically for smooth milled exterior siding and interior architectural wood surfaces such as beams, trim, and paneling. Designed for professional results in both residential and commercial settings, LSS provides outstanding UV resistance, moisture protection, Class B fire resistance (ASTME-84) and color longevity without compromising the natural beauty of the woodgrain. LSS has a rapid first coat absorption rate of 10 minutes (under ideal conditions) enabling quick turnaround for prestaining machines or dynamic operations.
While LSS performs exceptionally well on its own, prior to staining, apply Internal Wood Stabilizer (IWS) or Ember Guard (EG) beneath LSS for enhanced pigment durability, dimensional stability, rot prevention, pest deterrence, and Class A fire resistance (EG).

• EG + LSS for Class A fire resistance (ASTM E-84), moisture resistance, longevity, and aesthetic durability
• IWS + LSS for superior stability, moisture resistance, longevity, and aesthetic durability
• Crystal Urethane + LSS for wipeable high touch interior surfaces
LSS is intended for raw or properly prepped smooth wood surfaces. Not intended over surfaces previously coated with non-penetrating acrylics, latex, solid paints, or oil-based products still resisting water. For optimal results, use LSS on raw wood surfaces (kiln-dried or airdried, moisture content <14%).

I used the Internal Wood Stabilizer on the interior of our cedar raised beds. It's an excellent product - the best food-safe waterproofing treatment that I could find. The exterior was sealed with Timber Pro UV's Deck and Fence sealer (Honey). Excellent customer service!! Knowledgeable staff and fast shipping. The best green products available!
