About our coating
Deck & Fence | Semi-Solid Series
DF is an essential, plant-oil-based, waterborne penetrating stain designed for use on new or weathered wood. It protects against moisture, UV degradation, and surface mildew while enhancing the natural grain. The breathable, non-toxic formula allows for deep penetration and long-term protection with easy reapplication. DF is available in 70+ colors, including Micro-Tint, Transparent, Semi-Transparent, and Semi-Solid series.
While DF performs exceptionally well as a standalone finish, use Internal Wood Stabilizer (IWS) or Ember Guard (EG) prior to DF application for a professional coating system.

Deck & Fence is designed for use on raw or properly prepped exterior wood. Not intended for surfaces previously coated with non-penetrating acrylics, latex, solid paints, or oil-based products still resisting water. For optimal results, use DF on raw wood surfaces (kiln-dried or air dried, moisture content <14%).

I used the Internal Wood Stabilizer on the interior of our cedar raised beds. It's an excellent product - the best food-safe waterproofing treatment that I could find. The exterior was sealed with Timber Pro UV's Deck and Fence sealer (Honey). Excellent customer service!! Knowledgeable staff and fast shipping. The best green products available!
