Restore and Refinish An Older Fence

Note: Below is a quick synopsis, for detailed product information and application guides click on the product pages and application guides on our website.

Option 1 – Remove all discoloration and stain it with a natural transparent stain

Chemically strip off all failed oil based stains and sealers and/or gray weather discoloration with our Strip & Brite formula.  Used in conjunction with a pressure washer,  this will result in your fence being returned to  a natural color wood color so that you can then apply two coats of our Deck & Fence Formula in a transparent tone for that natural wood look. Just remember that transparent stains only look “good” when applied over wood that has been restored and is no longer gray or blotchy.

Option 2 – Clean it up enough to stain it with a semi transparent or semi solid stain

Tired of looking at an ugly, gray, discolored fence but don’t have the time, money, or energy to remove all the discoloration? You could opt to just pressure wash it or scrub it with Clean & Brite and then apply our Deck & Fence Formula in a deeper toned semi- transparent or semi-solid stain to cover up the gray, and give it some color and protection. If you don’t mind the weathered gray look, you could opt to just seal it with two coats of our Clear Deck & Fence Formula to seal it and extend its life.
