Seal Concrete Driveways and Garage Floors

Note: Below is a quick synopsis. For detailed product information and application guides go to our product pages and application guides on our website.

Internal Concrete Sealer (ICS) is an excellent sealer for driveways and garage floors. This product is designed for use on Portland cement type concrete, not porous concrete blocks or pavers. ICS helps prevent damage incurred from freeze-thaw cycles, and it stabilizes the concrete and permanently prevents water absorption from below or above grade.

Once the concrete is clean, apply one heavy coat of ICS to the concrete. This can be done with a pump sprayer, brush or roller. Make sure to spread the product evenly, and not to let it puddle. Once the ICS is dry on the surface (6-12 hours), a patch test in a small spot can be done to see if a second coat is needed. If second coat test coat absorbs without leaving a gummy surface residue, continue with a second coat application to all.

If you plan to later apply a film forming top coat, wait at least three weeks and then make sure to use a commercial grade product that will withstand the effects of hot tire pick-up if you plan to park on the concrete.
